Ari and Farin met at a "Women of Guanajuato" group's gathering, designed to build community, swap stories, share some favorite plates and libations. As it turned out this day would change the course of both their lives.

Farin had arrived from Portland, Oregon a couple of years earlier, bought a view she didn't want to stop looking at, and was deep in what she optimistically called the final months of her home build in the hills above the Capital, while her dog family multiplied at an impressive pace. Ari, a Guanajuato native, was working in real estate and quickly connected with Farin's vision of creating a brokerage that felt more aligned with her values and the way she felt clients should be served. The time felt ripe with possibility.

Their connection was immediate. Different decades, different countries, different ways of arriving, but the connection was unmistakable. They shared an appreciation for irony, the understanding that humor is good medicine, and the instinct that a half-full cup is still worth raising. Coffee dates, dinners, and long walks in the sierras became the backdrop for conversations that repeatedly returned to real estate.

Somewhere along the way, they realized they made a remarkable team. Each complemented the other's strengths, making it possible to turn a vision into reality. Their goal is to provide that same experience for every client.

Moxie Real Estate was born, and with it the Moxie Partner Network: a collaborative alliance of agents and agencies across Guanajuato so that anyone looking for property here has the whole market working for them.

FARIN GREER

CO-FOUNDER / REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL

Farin grew up in Los Angeles, where working as a teenager in her father's real estate company gave her an early and lasting love for property, long before she knew it would shape everything that followed.

She brings four decades of hands-on experience remodeling and building homes, over a dozen in the US and one here in Guanajuato Capital. As a mixed media artist who has always gravitated toward salvage yards and reclaimed materials, she has never seen a home as just a structure. She sees what it could become. She builds the way she makes art: part intention, part improvisation, letting the materials have a say. As a homeowner and landlord, she has always believed a home should be a sanctuary, and has spent decades trying to prove it.

So when she built her home in the hills above La Presa and the plan was to retire, it is not surprising that Moxie Real Estate was born instead. Creatives have to create. Farin is someone who genuinely enjoys being helpful, making the introduction, pointing people in the right direction, and making sure anyone new to Guanajuato has someone in their corner. For anyone arriving from somewhere else, she wants finding a home here to feel like a soft landing.

In chapters past, Farin has lived a creative life as an artist, gallery director, restaurateur, and chef. Mornings mean walking mountain trails with her pack of dogs or working in her garden. She has two daughters in Portland and a granddaughter who spends summers with her in Mexico. Though not yet fluent in Spanish, she does surprisingly well, considering she was raised by mimes.

ANABEL (ARI) MARTINEZ

CO-FOUNDER / REAL ESTATE PROFESTIONAL

Ari is a bilingual real estate professional and co-founder of Moxie Real Estate, based in Guanajuato. She specializes in guiding both local and international clients through thoughtful, well-informed property decisions. Her approach is straightforward:

helping people fnd homes they are genuinely excited about, not just good deals on paper. She places a strong emphasis on relationships, trust, and clear communication.

Ari is drawn to the balance of strategy and intuition that real estate requires, from pricing and negotiations to marketing and storytelling. She especially enjoys guiding clients who are relocating, helping them fnd their footing in a new market and a new place to call home. Her own experience living between cultures, with time spent in the Pacifc Northwest and Southwestern parts of the US, gives her real insight into what clients are navigating when they make an international move.

She is deeply connected to Guanajuato's unique community and fnds real joy in

building relationships across both local and expat cultures in this very special city.

Outside of real estate, Ari is a mom, a sewist at heart, and someone who loves design, music, good coffee, and meaningful conversations. She believes a home is more than an investment. It is where life unfolds. And for the record, her co-founder would like it known that Ari is always impeccably coordinated, every single day, without fail, which the rest of us fnd both admirable and slightly annoying.
